What We Believe God has a plan for your life! Along with other Christians, we at Kinsmen believe: God is the creator of the universe, and everything in it. Sin is the broken relationship we all have with God, seen in the selfish and destructive things humans do. Sin leads to death. Jesus died on the cross and rose again from the dead to save us from sin and to show us God’s love. The Holy Spirit is God’s presence in the world, teaching us to live as God's people through Jesus Christ. The Bible is inspired by God and tells the ongoing story of God's activity in human history; So, we at Kinsmen share the common beliefs of all Christians. But as Lutheran Christians we also emphasize: Justification By Grace— There is nothing we can do to make God love us any more than God already does. We don’t earn God’s love: we believe it, celebrate and share it! Real Presence— In the waters of Baptism God re-claims us as God’s children, making us ministers of God's love to the world. This promise is for children and adults. In the Lord’s Supper, we remember the last meal Jesus shared with his friends. In the bread and wine, we believe that Jesus is truly present, offering us forgiveness and new life. Click here for more information about what Christians believe.
